It's Raining

And I'm supposed to be leaving soon. Oh the joys of not having a car. Am going to some JC reunion...on a whim really. The last time I met everyone from SA was in Nov 2006, just before I left for the States, and I made a fool of myself after having too much to drink. Will be abstaining from the (if any) alcohol today.

I've never been particularly close to my classmates, for various reasons, but I guess it's good to see everyone once in a while yeah?

Yeah.

I swear, I swear I had the intention to study today, but fell asleep. And when I woke up and really wanted to go down to Haato and read up on Legal Theory there, I realized I left everything in school. How convenient. So,no studying today then. Ha I'm so dead. So dead.

I have pictures to post from Lisa's party which I still haven't uploaded. I'm lazy. Shall get down to it one of these days. Just like I need to get my Paul Smith pants altered, my room cleaned, and my fucking face cleaned too evidently. Have had a bad breakout over the past couple of weeks which I, funnily enough, have not cared much for. There's just so much to do that I can't be bothered about my appearance these days.

MMM I hope there are chicken wings later. What good is a BBQ without chicken wings you tell me? And sotong. And ribs. Or something.

Will try to update this more frequently although I've run out of words and there really isn't much to talk about unless I bore you guys with endless details about school, which I'm sure no one wants to hear me drone on and on about - there's another blog you can go to for that sorta thing ;-)

In anticipation of a future as a no-life lawyer, here's what's happened to me just over the weekend.

Saturday night (supposed to club) - Missed deadline for Memo so decided to spend the next 24 hours touching up, and fucking tired, so went to bed.

Sunday - Wrote out memo till 8 (not all the way la), and so had to reject (1) a pair of free tickets to Dim Sum Dollies and (2) Friends and Wii at Leon's house, which I really wanted to go for. All I did was overdose on beef jerky and drink one glass of wine and one glass of champagne which made me feel like shit for a large part of the day. And then at night, all plans of going clubbing fell through (again), and I spent my night watching the Queen, talking to Jin, talking to Meng on Skype, and mindlessly surfing the internet.

What has happened to me?

Oh yeah, school.

LOL today I needed some citation and didn't want to go to the library. Since Jin was there I asked him to find me the book. And when he did I needed the relevant portion.

Me: "Find the Lee Kuan Yew one"
"I can't find it"
Me: "It's there around the Rajaratnam speech. Find it!"
"omg you are damn evil"
Me: "I know it's there I saw it there. Can you check the other dates?"
"omg you are damn evil"
*flip flip flip*
"I can't find it"
Me: "I want something about Singapore's need to industrialize, the British withdrawal, labour unions...flip through until you find it"
"I don't know how to do these things"
Me: "Just flip through and look for the words la"
*flip flip flip*
"omg you're damn evil"

...But sheer persistence paid off and I got my citation in the end.

"Here it is. Lee Kuan Yew"
Me: "Ok. What does it say. Read it out to me"

I'm good.

One can only laugh at some things. Like how, 3 weeks ago, my laptop died just before I submitted my memo. So I had to type out everything again and got half a mark docked for being late, which is not much la but well...when you're falling behind in other areas, it means a lot.

And then today. I spent the whole day rushing to complete that bloody memo. 3000 bloody words plus godknowshowmany for all the extra stuff we have to do, such as fucking content pages and bloody tables of authorities.

And so I rush to get it done. Finish everything at like 10.58, only to find the IVLE folder closed. So fuck it. If I'm going get docked half a grade I'm going to spend the better part of tomorrow making sure I pull the grade up by one. Or something.

I know it's been a while since I last updated. Promise to put something up soon.
